From your
hotel in Sa Pa we
follow the track downhill along
the valley for
about 3 kms to visit the ethnic minority of
H’mong people walking in the paddy
fields.
After that we go farther down
into the valley, from where the
old hydro-electric power station (Which was built by the French in 1925) can be
seen. On the path down and across the bridge, the
river and waterfall provide an excellent place for sunbathing or swimming in case of the
good weather. Take the path up which passes
through primary forests, bamboo forests at a higher elevation and along a watershed
that offers spectacular views of Vang River, and provides a variety of habitats
for birds and butterflies and several view points where you can have a nice
overview of Sin Chai.. Take
a pleasant stroll through the village where you will be invited to a private home to
understand more about the H’mong way of life. You will arrive in Sa Pa late
afternoon.
